Joel James is a talented self-taught musician who has dedicated his life to writing songs that resonate with his life experiences. Joel’s persistence and passion whilst chasing his dream motivated me to document his journey as a young artist. The images capture a glimpse into the energy he brings to every show, and the non-traditional approach he explores within his music.
His journey has taken him across the country, performing at rooftop bars and large venues alike. Along the way, he has encountered moments of joy and moments of heartbreak. Whether he is playing at home for his dog Billie, or at a crowded pub, A Musician’s Journey takes readers on a ride that encapsulates the challenges and triumphs of the creative process.
